Pre-College/Youth Programs
How to Register for PreCollege/Youth Programs
Preregistration and payment are required to reserve a place in all classes. We accept registrations on a first-come, first-served basis up to the first class meeting, space permitting.
Register early! Many classes have limited space so register at least one week in advance to secure a place. A decision to hold or cancel a class is often based on preregistration enrollment.
Enroll today! Five easy ways…
- Online at www.sou.edu/takeaclass with Visa/MC
The online form must be completed by persons 13 years or older. For youth registrations, you must set up a student account and profile for each child, but you only have to set up an account for each child ONCE! After that, you just sign in as the child and check the boxes for the classes they want. - By phone with Visa/MC: 541-552-6331 or 1-800-552-5388
- By fax with Visa/MC: print the registration form and fax to: 541-552-6047
- By mail with check or Visa/MC: print the registration form and mail to:
Extended Campus Programs, Southern Oregon University, Ashland, OR 97520 - In person with check, cash or Visa/MC at the following locations:
Ashland office: 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., just south of Omar's Restaurant, M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm
Medford Campus: 229 N. Bartlett, between 4th and 5th (click here for a Medford Campus location map), M-F, 9:00am-5:00pm
Confirmations:
If you register online or give us your email address we will send a confirmation by email. If we don't have your email address we will mail you a confirmation.
Refunds:
We must receive notice of cancellation no later than two working days prior to the class start date to give a refund. Notifying the instructor of intent to withdraw is not sufficient; you must contact our office by phone. For summer Youth Programs, a $25 cancellation fee is assessed.
Cancellations:
If insufficient enrollment or any other reason necessitates canceling a course, we will contact those who have preregistered and refund prepaid fees. However, we sometimes cannot make the decision to hold or cancel a course until the first class meeting. If we have to cancel a class we will offer you three options: 1) transfer you to another class; 2) credit your account for your payment for the class plus $10; or 3) give you a full refund.
Financial Aid: Financial aid is available for PreCollege/Youth Programs classes.
