A Camp for Girls ONLY
Oregon Outdoor Adventure Camp: July 28-August 1, 2013 is a five day residential experience allowing 20 girls who have completed 8th or 9th grade the opportunity to explore a campus life that extends far beyond the traditional school setting. The student’s curriculum will be following several water sheds using a Mountain to the Sea approach. The program will begin on the campus of SOU, continue on up to Crater Lake National Park, camp out in the Cascade Mountains at Lake of the Woods, proceed to Klamath Lake, Deer Creek, Oregon Caves, Oregon Coast, then return to SOU.

Activities
The Oregon Outdoor Adventure Camp curriculum is hands-on and includes classes and outdoor activities including:
- Crater Lake National Park Boat trip
- Upper Klamath Marsh Canoeing
- Exploring Deer Creek Field Station
- A day at the Oregon Caves
- A trip to the Oregon Coast
- Bird Watching & Bird Banding
- Nightly Campfire and Games
- Camping in Yurts
- Evening Star Talks
- Stream exploration
When Can We Come?
Sunday - Thursday July 28-August 1
All students arrive and check in on Sunday, July 28 at 1:00pm at the campus of Southern Oregon University. Meals begin with dinner, Sunday Night so be sure you have already had lunch on Sunday before arriving. Departure is 5:00pm on Thursday, August 1 at SOU.
Residential Life:
Camp participants will begin their stay in the SOU dorms and eat in their award winning dining hall. They will board the Oregon Outdoor Adventure Camp vans and continue on up to Crater Lake National Park and camp in the Cascade Mountains at Lake of the Woods campgrounds. (Camping gear is provided.) They will also stay in yurts at the SOU Deer Creek Field Station.
