Spelling Contest

Regional Spelling Contests are held at grade levels 1-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Contests begin within each school. Winners from each school then compete to determine the school district's representative. The 35th Annual Reginal finals contest will be held in the Stevenson Union of Southern Oregon University at 9:30 am on Saturday, May 11, 2013. SOESD Division I - Grades 1-5

First Place - Liam Patton - Lone Pine Elementary School, Medford SD, grade 5

Second Place - Elijah Dapkus - Allen Dale Elementary, Grants Pass SD, grade 5

Third Place - Danny Black - Williams Elementary, Three Rivers SD, grade 5

SOESD Division II - Grades 6-8

First Place - Justus Armstrong - Logos Public Charter School, Medford SD, grade 8

Second Place - Josiah Pomeroy - Eagle Point Middle School, Eagle Point SD, grade 7

Third Place - Quinn Dietz- Lorna Byrne Middle School, Three Rivers SD, grade 7

First Place - Liam Dwyer - Illinois Valley High School, Three Rivers SD, grade 9
Liam tied for FIRST PLACE at the Oregon Statewide Spelling Championship last year!
This is the third year in a row Liam has won first place in his division.
