High School Brain Bowl 2010
Varsity Bowl is the premier competition at the high school level. Teams generally include juniors and seniors who have competed on previous teams. The winning team from the regional competition has the opportunity to compete in a national competition. Varsity Brain Bowl will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010.
Junior Varsity Brain Bowl competition is a preparatory competitions for high school students to compete on a junior varsity team. These teams will play in their own brackets competing agains other JV teams. Junior Varsity Brain Bowl will be on Saturday, February 20, 2010.
2009 High School Brain Bowl Results
This year's 32nd Annual Southern Oregon Brain Bowl Competition’s had a total of 59 teams participating in three levels of Brain Bowl from schools in Jackson, Josephine, and Klamath counties. Brain Bowl is sponsored by the Southern Oregon Educational Service District (SOESD) and coordinated by SOU Pre- College Youth Programs.

The final matches were played and broadcast live on Southern Oregon Public Television KSYS, Channel 8, and on Rogue Valley Community Television. Tim Egan, a teacher at Talent Middle School, served as moderator for the Middle School Brain Bowl Championship, the first semi-final high school Masters match and the Masters Championship Brain Bowl game. Lisa Ward, a teacher at New Hope Christian School in Grants Pass, served as moderator for the second semi-final high school Masters Brain Bowl match. The SOU Youth Programs Coordinator for the High School Brain Bowl competitions were Steve Jensen and Kim Gabriel, and the Middle School Brain Bowl coordinator was Jan Lippen-Holtz.
Freshman/Sophomore Division 2009
North Medford High School and St. Mary's School played off for the Freshman/Sophomore Championship. North defeated St. Mary's to become the Freshman/Sophomore Brain Bowl champ for 2009 for the second year in a row!

Masters Division
Semi-Final High School
The first match for the semi-final High School Masters Brain Bowl division was between South Medford High School and New Hope Christian High School team. South Medford won the match 44 to 21. The second semi–final match for the Masters Division was between Ashland High School and North Medford High School. Ashland won the match 43 to 41 to go on to play in the Champion round against South Medford.
Championship
Ashland High School beat South Medford High School 39 to 34, making them the Masters Brain Bowl Champion of Southern Oregon for the third year in a row!
