Marieke Gaboury (1998), Director/Producer
Marieke Gaboury is a director, writer, and producer living in New York City. She is the Associate Producer for LAByrinth Theater Company (Artistic Directors, Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Ortiz). New York stage directing credits include Looking For Mr. Brady (LAByrinth Theater Company in 2004) and Hurlyburly (St. Marks Street Theatre in 2000).
Gaboury was a panelist on the "Planning a Season: Balancing Your Mission, Your Budget and Your Audience" session during a 2007 Theatre Resources Unlimited meeting in New York City.
In May 2005, Gaboury began principal photography on a new film called The Hard Place. The script captures 24 hours in the life of a desperate young woman who has begun working for a Manhattan escort service.
She trained at the American Conservatory Theatre.
