Johnny Johnson (The Biography of a Common Man)
Book and Lyrics by Paul Green
Music by Kurt Weill

In this ironic, yet hauntingly moving anti-war tale written by Pulitzer Prize winner, Paul Green, Johnny Johnson, an idealistic and pacifist Everyman, enlists in the military to fight during World War I. His efforts to end the war provide potent satire, melodrama and farce. This musical showcases influential composer Kurt Weill, whose work is considered seminal in the development of the American theatre art form.
