In 2008, Rex Young will play Brutus/Ensemble in Coriolanus, and Howie Newsome in Our Town at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF). In nine seasons at OSF, he has had roles as Weinberl in On the Razzle, Officer in Tartuffe, Polixenes in The Winters Tale, Christian in Cyrano de Bergerac, roles in The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Timon of Athens, As You Like It, Henry IV, Parts One and Two, Cyrano de Bergerac, Romeo and Juliet, Enrico IV (The Emperor), The Shoemakers Holiday, Macbeth, A Midsummer Nights Dream, King John, Henry VIII, Hamlet.
In New York, Young performed in the world premiere of Flight (Lucille Lortel/Melting Pot); Coriolanus, The Apollo of Bellac (NYSF Workshop); The Love of the Nightingale (Soho Repertory Theatre); The Comedy of Errors (NADA); The Two Noble Kinsmen (Theatre Row Theatre).
He has performed at the Actors Theatre of Louisville, Great River Shakespeare Festival, Minn., Seattle Shakespeare Company, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Long Wharf Theatre, American Repertory Theatre, Virginia Stage Company, Studio Arena Theatre, Capital Repertory Theater, and Playmakers Repertory Company, among others.
Young has appeared on All My Children and Designing Women. His film credits include ABCD and Language of Love.
Young attended the ART Institute at Harvard and is a member of the Actors' Equity Association.
