Recycling Mission Statement...
Here at the Ecology Center of The Siskiyous, our recycling crew is committed to reducing campus waste and heightening responsible consumption. Our mission is to raise social awareness within the SOU community regarding the three R's: REDUCE, REUSE, AND RECYCLE!

Our Responsibilities Include...

  • Weekly collection of recyclables from campus academic buildings. These are then sorted and deposited at the Ashland Sanitary Center
  • Campus outreach: Developing Programs to involve the SOU community for increased waste/consumption awareness and responsibility
  • Developing signs and other visual recycling reminders for students
Research into other campus recycling programs to improve and develop more efficient ways to conduct campus recycling.
