Supervisors must complete formal performance evaluations with student employees by May 15 or at termination. To maintain campus wide consistency, this evaluation should consist of a “sit down” meeting and include a written evaluation signed by both the employee and supervisor.
This is a time for the supervisor to discuss the employee’s job performance as it pertains to job duties and pre-established learning outcomes. The evaluation time should also be used for the employee to give feedback on their employment experience.
The following performance evaluation template is to be used for creating and conducting performance evaluations of student employees. This Student Employee Self-Assessment Form should be completed by all student employees prior to receiving their performance evaluation. The purpose of this form is to provide a summary of what they feel were their key accomplishments and areas for development.
