Jonathan Eldridge
Vice President for Student Affairs

 

Vice President for Student Affairs

Jonathan Eldridge serves as Vice President for Student Affairs. Originally from Stanwood, Washington, Jon has degrees from Central Washington University and Colorado State University.

Jon is finishing a two-year term on the board of directors for NASPA (National Association of Student Personnel Administrators), which serves over 11,000 student affairs professional throughout the world. He is also an accreditation team member for the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, and represents SOU on the Ashland Cultural Diversity Alliance.

As Vice President, Jon is a member of SOU's executive council and reports to the President. He oversees the areas of Enrollment Management--Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration; ACCESS--Advising & Disabilities Services; Athletics, Bookstore, Dean of Students, Residential Education & Services--Housing, Residential Life, & Dining; Student Health & Wellness; and Student Activities & Leadership.

The Vice President is responsible for ensuring that the University provides appropriate and exceptional services and opportunities for students and that their academic pursuits and career plans are supported in an integrated, coherent fashion.
