Sociology Program

The Sociology Minor

Students are required to register with a minor advisor through the department office at (541) 552-6321.

Requirements:

(24 credits)

SOC 204 Sociological Imagination

SOC 205 Social Problems and Policy

Plus

16 credits of upper division electives (not including practicum) 

At least one 4-credit course must be at 400-level. Reading, research, independent study, workshops, and seminars may be included, with advisor consent.

Note that SOC 370 is a prerequisite for most 400-level courses.

Students must have an average GPA of 2.5 or higher and a minimum grade of C- in all courses counted toward the minor.
