This presentation is about the history, stages, and impacts of the prion disease known as Fatal Familial Insomnia. This research is collected from scholarly journals, news articles, and video documentation. This project will give people a better understanding of the disease, as well as its effects on sleep research within the psychological, and behavioral neuroscience field. I will discuss the first known instance of this genetic disease, and the significance it holds in today's society as well as the importance of continuing to study and learn about this disease.
