How fast does pollen spread in GMO beets to non GMO crops?

Adam Williams

Genetically Modified Organisms have been studied enough to know that they can affect non-genetically modified organisms which has caused social and economic pressures. GMO beets here in the Rogue Valley have been introduced, which can have negative effects on the agriculture. Looking into how fast pollen might spread to other crops is essential in know what to do about it. Large corporations are fighting to prohibit local regulation on specific agriculture crops or seeds which if passed, will negatively impact Rogue Valley agriculture. Protecting the Rogue Valley is necessary and educating ourselves about GMO's is a good step toward that.
