There are a plethora of new technologies in the Renewable energy market, it is one of the fastest growing corners of the economy. The benefits of renewable energy are manifold, these energy sources provide energy independence from foreign fossil fuels, work to curb greenhouse gas emissions, and produce far fewer negative externalities. These innovative systems produce rewarding careers for scientists, engineers and businesses. There are many different forms of renewable energy production. From wind power, to solar, biomass and hydroelectric; there is great potential for renewable energy in the Rogue Valley. This project seeks to identify how much renewable energy is consumed and produced in the Rogue Valley, future renewable developments will also be addressed.
