Modern Advertisements and Products are Creating Unrealistic Ideals of 'The Perfect Woman'

Our societal views of what beauty is have become more and more unrealistic over the years because of the use of advertisements and beauty products. Things like Barbie and Weight Watchers cause people to believe that an attractive woman should be slim with long legs, a short torso, and a large bust. This is not the average woman. The average woman is not considered qualified to be a supermodel. As a result young women have increasingly negative body images. The average woman is stigmatized as large or overweight while they may be perfectly healthy, perhaps healthier than their thinner counterparts.
