Environmental education has largely been focused on urban versus rural communities. Lack of funding and environmental education infrastructure in schools, and divergent attitudes are impediments to development and implementation of environmental education. This poster explores effective strategies to overcome these impediments and provides suggestions for successful implementation of environmental education programs in rural areas.
