Examining Environmental Education Programs and the Factors that Affect Their Success

While it has been shown that environmental education has a positive correlation with improved science literacy, it is difficult to tell whether this has had an effect on the behavior of the students. It does tell us some important information on retention of knowledge and change in attitude regarding nature. This study examined factors that make EE programs successful, including how program type affects retention of attitudinal changes, and how program duration affects goals and outcomes.
