The Gateway Pacific Coal Terminal is a proposed project in Cherry Point, Washington. The proposed terminal would mainly export coal; taken by train from the Great River Basin to Washington, and then placed on cargo ships that are too large to fit through the panama canal for export to China. My presentation will provide an overview for the project as well as a detailed cost-benefit analysis of the project for Whatcom County.
