Vision has a huge effect on how people learn. Visual cues are extremely important to the learning process. Throughout history, visuals have been used to help people understand and learn about the things around them. For a large span of time, most people could not read so pictures were used as the main tool of learning. From prehistoric times to the present, vision is essential to human intelligence and learning. People can also learn by seeing events as they take place. For example younger siblings may witness a mistake made by an older sibling and learn to not do the same when they are older. Vision is a central tool with any lesson. Children learn a great deal of what they know through visual cues. Their toys are larger and more colorful which will ‘catch their eye'.
