This presentation is a compilation and summary of many academic sources that examine the influence of public school gardens on the knowledge and habits of students in regard to food consumption and its relationship with overall health. The majority of the articles that will be reviewed present results from various schools throughout the United States that have employed this type of program in their curriculum. The objective of this literature review is to present an organized set of ideas for what is and is not effective in educating children about nutrition with the help of a public school garden.
