Born during the Civil Rights Movement, Title IX paved the way for women's opportunities in sports and society. Before Title IX, women's sports at the college level were virtually non-existent. Once passed into law, grater female participation has been seen in sport and society. Title IX continues to evolve and impact everyday life of women.
