Athletes are stereotyped as self-centered and over paid individuals in society. Yet, athletes have been participating in various selfless activities for the benefit of the less fortunate. Ranging from the NFL's Play 60 to the NBA Cares, professional sports teams have publicized their ways of benefiting communities. Other individual athletes have personally reached out to their communities with charities and scholarships to help others. This poster will illustrate the different aspects of these charitable programs.
