Oregon, population wise, is a small state that does not share the same benefits as bigger states such as California, Texas, or Florida. But in the 2000s, Oregon sports have withstood the rain and have produced winning and success that is now comparable to bigger states in the country. The state of Oregon currently has two professional teams, but the success of Oregon athletics has been below the professional platform and is now found in amateur sports. High schools and colleges statewide have been backing their lineups and rosters with talent level that is now relevant nationwide. And emphasis on amateur sports continues to grow, so does the level of athletic talent and people are starting to notice.
