Comparative Analysis on Alternative Energy

Alyssa Scala

Sustainability and sustainable development, first defined in 1987, have been under discussion for numerous years. Once the twentieth century rolled around, sustainability became a new "buzz" word in our society. More and more people are now "going green," trying to be more sustainable in their life styles. This may include growing personal gardens or trying alternative, natural, and sustainable resources for energy such as solar and wind generated electricity. I wonder, since sustainability is such a hot topic right now, do people really look into the results on the effectiveness and cost efficiency of the different types of energy? This poster provides a comparative analysis of wind and solar energy, comparing and contrasting these two popular alternative methods. Through the results of this study I will be more knowledgeable on which one is a better choice for me, as well as determine if people are making the best choice between these two renewable sources of energy
