Reggaeton is increasingly popular in countries such as Mexico and is especially popular amongst teens and young adults. As this dance and music style progresses in both the club and the studio many societal issues have followed. These issues range from how the dance style effects teens to how the style that is preformed and used today directly compares to its original dance and musical forms. To understand the style further it is necessary to evaluate both hip hop and salsa, from which reggaeton originates, and the relationship all three forms share. My research will also evaluate many different sources to understand such societal issues that rise from reggaeton's music and dance form.
