Our current economy is negatively affecting small businesses and families all over our country. Pilot Rock Christian School is a small private preschool that is being affected in this same way. With families needing two sources of income that require both parents to work, preschool age students are currently in need of extended care. Pilot Rock was not able to provide this option due to their struggles in the economy. I planned and executed a fundraising auction as another source of income for this small school so they could implement an after school enrichment program for the families in need. The auction brought in over $6500 for the school to begin an after school program for families in the Rogue Valley. This event was beneficial for this school and struggling families because it provided money for an educational, loving, and fun environment for students to learn and grow after school. Working with the model I created, many schools can raise funds to benefit education and families in need.
