Every actor preparing for the profession must undertake a rigorous training in physical techniques that release the imagination to be present, focused, and adventurous. SOU Theatre Department acting students led by Performance professor James Donlon will demonstrate different methods and processes that develop this important part of an actor's craft. Aspects of training in movement, gesture, improvisation, mask, mime, and neo-classic clowning will be showcased. Audience members will have the opportunity to experience some of the exercises at the conclusion of the demonstration.
