Every school facility should have an abundant amount of class materials for the children to learn and interact with one another. The school supply drive was held at the Medford Sherm's Food for Less. The presenter had assistance with receiving the school supplies from the exiting customers while she handed out the flyers by the entrance. The school supply drive was a way for the community to contribute to the YMCA the way they help the community. In 2012, the Rogue Valley Family YMCA donated $273,795 to 1,667 children and families in the community. The presenter completed her internship at the Rogue Valley Family YMCA as she believed it was necessary to receive hands on experience in the field of education that she is planning on entering. The presenter was able to create many activities for the young children in their centers. With the hands on experience that she received from this facility and her community based project she feels prepared to become an early childhood educator.
