An analysis of the sustainability of Ashland City owned vehicles

Aaron Anderson

The following case study on sustainable use of city of Ashland fleet vehicles is part of a larger project. The ES 440 Planning Issues class is doing an internal assessment of attitudes and behaviors regarding sustainability among employees of the city. This project is being undertaken to assist the Ashland Conservation Committee in developing sustainable process that can be taken at the city and County level. This project will review a large dataset provided by the city of Ashland on fuel usage and mileage, and try to determine the sustainability of the fleet. From this analysis it is hoped that recommendations may be made that will advise future policy.
