The point of my research is to show the struggle the nation of Cambodia faced when the Khmer Rouge took place during 1975-1979. The Khmer Rouge was the switch to a communistic society and lead Cambodia into a mass genocide. By examining the cult behind the Khmer Rouge this will show that the leaders of the Khmer Rouge had tried to switch Cambodia to a communistic society to help the country and instead ended up with a mass genocide. In the process of the Khmer Rouge, all of Cambodia's art forms were nearly wiped out. Remaining Dance instructors have recently began to teach the old forms so that the people of Cambodia can revive their old forms of art.
