Teen pregnancy and access to birth control via contraceptives for adolescents is a problem statewide. To address this locally, La Clinica initiated a process hoping to increase access to birth control at Phoenix High School. The current process starts by educating students on different forms of birth control, allowing them choose their preferred method, and signing informed consent at the Mobile Health Clinic. After completing the process on school grounds, they must drive one mile to La Clinica. After evaluation, it was found that students are not commuting to pick-up their birth control. Our plan is to evaluate the current process through student surveys and assess parent's attitudes toward distribute birth control contraceptives on school grounds because a successful program must include parent's involvement.
