Human beings have been enthralled with the persistent longing to understand the origin of Homo sapiens for centuries. With so many questions to be answered, scientists of the recent human race have formed many different theories explaining how and when humans were created. One widely accepted theory is the Recent Out of Africa Theory of human origin. This theory is highly supported by evidence interwoven in the mitochondrial genome. Through the sequencing of hundreds of different mitochondrial DNA, belonging to individuals from around the world, evolutionary biologists have been able to trace recent humans backs to one African women. In addition to mitochondrial DNA sequencing, fossil dating of Homo sapien skulls supports the Out of Africa theory. The oldest discovered human skulls were found in Africa making the continent a likely place for the cradle of origin to be located. Each individual of the world, no matter what ethnicity, is extremely similar on the molecular level, so would not it be fair to think that we might all have shared the same cradle in an African mother land?
