My research on how dance is important in bringing together the Maasai Tribe will give insight on a culture that is unknown to most American people. This will allow us to understand the fundamentals of how dance brings together a group of people. In modern times, the culture seems to be lost and focused more on preformed tourism rather than grounded identity. The Maasai Tribe brings together both the warriors (men) and potters (women) while dancing whereas women are not perceived equal otherwise. I will research through scholarly sources pertaining to the ceremonial dances, the Maasai culture and how tourism is affecting it.
