Relationship between Perceived Stress, Coping Mechanisms, and Weight Gain in University Students

Nacee Pandol

Approximately 40 students were recruited from general psychology courses and were surveyed on aspects regarding perceived stress, coping mechanisms, eating habits and weight gain. Results are currently in the process of being computed. Original hypothesis is students who report higher stress levels and poorer coping mechanisms will also have reported poorer eating habits and will have gained more weight as a university student.
