Sustainable Business Leadership

Over the last two years I have completed extensive research subject of sustainable business leadership and the ways the companies today are integrating sustainability into their strategies and corporate cultures. I've developed two new classes at SOU; BA490 / MM590 Case Studies on Corporate Sustainability and BA483 / MM583 Sustainability Leadership. These two classes are at the heart of the new Certificate in Sustainability Leadership undergraduate and graduate programs. I've developed a Corporate Sustainability Practices Framework that includes the seven primary ways that companies are applying sustainability initiatives including alternative transportation, waste reduction, renewable energy, green building, fair trade, supply chain collaboration, and localization. During the 12 months beginning June 15th, 2010, my plan is to research and write a pair of books related to the primary ways that American corporations are integrating sustainability into their strategies, leadership practices, and organizational cultures. The working titles of the two books are: 1) "Sustainable Business Leadership: A Handbook for Students" 2) "Case Studies on Corporate Sustainability: How Corporations are Changing the Way they do Business to Serve the Planet… and Themselves"
