I am a collector and connector, a bricoleur whose work as an artist and poet uses objects and images as evocateurs to release and illuminate stories from the past. In this SOAR Celebration of Teaching presentation, first mounted as STUFF@SMAASH at the Schneider Art Museum, I will provide an opportunity to be a part of art and pARTicipate by adding a memory of childhood to a collaborative piece of art. This artmaking/writing opportunity illustrates techniques that can be used to create classroom community and encourage reflective and connective writing.
