For our Community Based Learning Project, in our Senior Capstone class, Shelby Marshall, Jennifer Moomaw and Sophia Woodridge coordinated and instructed a storytelling workshop for children at Science Works, for two weekends in April, 2010. This project consisted of planning, coordinating and advertising through Science Works, to gather a population of students, ages 5-10 to participate in our workshop. The reason we chose this learning experience was because we wanted to create an opportunity for ourselves and for children to engage in fun and learning. Our goal for this workshop was to ultimately encourage and provide students to tell stories, using techniques and skills we provided for them and also to have fun!
