This research presentation is based on a study conducted by Betty Hart and Todd R. Risley published in their book entitled, “Meaningful Differences in the Everyday Experience of Young American Children”. Hart and Risley’s study focused on early literacy learning and vocabulary acquisition. They wanted to find out why some children learned words faster than others. My research focused on the methodology they utilized to collect and analyze their data.
