The focus of this presentation is to understand and learn about; the basics of UV (Ultraviolet) light, the science of UV luminescent effects (including: What is a phosphor and why does it glow under UV light?), sources of UV light, where UV reactive materials are commonly found given the theatrical environment, researching ways of controlling the effects that UV reactive materials have (which will look into the possibilities for applying phosphors [fluorescent materials] to mediums and blocking their effects or removing them from a given medium), and finally, a discussion section that will leave other possible avenues of exploration on this topic that were not covered.
