Southern Oregon University’s Arts and Research invites you to be a part of our 10th Anniversary, celebrating SOAR’s journey through the decade.
SOAR reaches out to every facet of the university community and brings them together in this weeklong showcase event that features research, projects, and performances from all disciplines and programs at SOU.
This unique conference welcomes all SOU students, faculty, and staff to participate and share their passions and accomplishments. From student club activities to graduate-level research, SOAR seeks to be fun, informative, and inspiring.
This year’s conference honors the milestones of the last ten years while highlighting new visions for SOU’s future. For the first time, participation is open to alumni and former university employees.
Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate ten years of excellence at SOU!

Jeff Gayton – University Librarian
“SOAR is a place for all students – and faculty and staff – to display their passion, knowledge, and experiences. I can’t wait to see what’s on display at the 10th annual SOAR Conference in May!”
Alissa Kolodzinski – Executive Assistant Hannon Library
“SOAR gave me the opportunity to engage with my colleagues, work with local businesses, obtain public speaking experience and be a part of something larger than myself.”
Fela Winfrey – Outreach Coordinator Hannon Library
“As a graduate from the class of 2008, I presented in the first-ever SOAR conference. I’ve been involved with SOAR ever since, as an organizer and board member, and the journey has been incredible and invaluable. In so many ways, SOAR is one of my greatest accomplishments.”
