Genetic based diseases are wide spread, most without a cure readily available. This presentation will focus on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and the different types of gene therapy currently being tested to try and find a cure for this devastating disease. It will go into subjects like viral gene therapy and exon skipping to illustrate the progress scientists are making in trying to cure these types of diseases.
