In recent years, school budgets have been continuously cut leaving teachers to use their personal money and time to fund classroom activities. Educators had to start looking for nontraditional ways to raise additional resources. Ray's Food Place has implemented a project with their Ray's Reward Program. This program gives 1% of a receipt value back to the school or PTA. Putting this plan into place at Allen Dale Elementary was just the first step in a long lasting project. The Project Coordinator was responsible for the preliminary construction of the program. This included maintaining each classroom's receipt total, as well as, calculation and submission to Ray's. The first month the program was implemented, the school raised $100, for doing nothing else but bringing in a Ray's Food Place receipt. The goal for the next school year is to raise $2,000.00.
