Poetry in Piecemeal

Riley Hamilton

I will be presenting a series of poems from my chapbook in progress "Fractal Mathematics". I will also talk about my method (overhead speech, re-contextualization, and juxtaposition) and the minimalist/objectivist aesthetic that I pursue in the lineage of greats like, Williams, Armantrout, and Niedecker. The presentation will run for between twenty and thirty minutes. Here is an example of what I will be reading. At Work Collecting wheat pennies from the till. Singing the red of closing cabaret. So much, on borrowed sleep, now "it's seven, and we're open" again.
