The Argentine tango has moved through many generations and survived to see today. The passion, energy and strength behind this particular kind of dance matches that of the Argentinians during protest. Starting with the lower classes, the tango was a way for the people to express their emotions, tell a story and show who they are. It was a strictly lower class dance, being frowned upon by upper classes. It was seen as provocative, dangerous and somewhat grotesque. But throughout history, the Tango has risen its way up to the top, filling peoples worlds with dance, passion, music and emotion that may have never been there before. It represents Argentina and the people so well that for it to disappear would be nearly impossible.
