Many of our service men and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan are suffering from PTSD and many other psychological traumas of war. My writings and photographs are an attempt to inform others about how trauma and loss affect not only the veterans, but their families...and us...as well. With photo-illustrations, a short story and my thoughts, I have tried to express what I feel may be going through the minds and hearts of those so traumatized by the horrors of war. I hope my attempt to educate and enlighten will also help those suffering and on the verge of letting their demons push them over the edge, have the courage to seek help and to let them...and us...know it is okay to lay to rest the belief that "Big boys don't cry."
