Removal of Invasive Species in River Walk Park

Jolene Walker

This is an Environmental Studies Capstone presentation that focuses on the removal of invasive species. The site for this project was River Walk Park in Ashland Oregon which is a city owned park that runs along Bear Creek and is located across the street from North Mountain Park Nature Center. There are a variety of invasive species that have been found in River Walk Park, among which are blackberry, poison hemlock, puncture vine and teasel. This project focused on the removal of these invasive species through physical labor provided by some hardworking citizens.
