It is well known that college students are faced with many challenges that induce stress, thus affecting their college performance. The purpose of this research is to measure and evaluate the well-being of students here at Southern Oregon University. This research will be applying the ideas of positive psychology that are thought to attribute to a person's sense of well-being. The focus of positive psychology is understanding what factors contribute to an individual living optimally, in other words being free from negative affect. Furthermore, this research will be exploring people's perceptions of their relationships, life meaning, engagement in the form of mindfulness, and positive emotion, and how these factors play a role in contributing to their overall well-being.
