The museum is a result of a community campaign which was completed by a generous donation by Bill and Florence Schneider. The museum mounts five to six exhibitions annually with an emphasis on contemporary art. The museum regularly offers gallery talks, lectures, receptions, concerts, spoken-word events, and tours for both the campus and the community.
