Mission Statement
The Schneider Museum of Art of Southern Oregon University, in partnership with the Southern Oregon community is the regional focus for presenting and interpreting the visual arts. The Schneider Museum strives to inspire, challenge, provide enjoyment and deepen our understanding of the human experience.
The primary function of the Schneider Museum of Art is to serve as a resource for the visual arts, maintaining a permanent collection, and presenting exhibitions and programs for the educational and cultural enrichment of both the general public and an academic audience. As a component of Southern Oregon University, the museum's programs complement the university's curriculum and provide practicum experience for students in the administration of visual arts organizations.
