The Community Preschool at SOU

The Community Preschool at SOU is located on the beautiful campus of Southern Oregon University in the Education/Psychology Building.  The classroom is a large, open space, filled with areas for active play and quiet time.  Adjacent to the classroom is a huge, shaded playground with lots of room to run and play with structures for climbing and swinging.

One of the advantages of being located on the SOU campus is the abundance of Education majors that participate in classroom activities as part of their practicum hours.  The class has two master teachers along with work-study student volunteers, and parent volunteers - to provide an enriching, stimulating environment for your child. Class size is limited to 25 children to ensure personalized attention for each child.  An SOU Music Professor provides a weekly music experience and artists in the community provide enrichment activities for the class.

The Community Preschool at SOU serves children 3-5 years of age and is open to members of the community.  Our Foundational Preschool runs Monday through Thursday from 8:30-11:45 am, with the option of additional after-school care until 3:00 pm.
